Stapleton’s were keen to release something upbeat and positive for a Nexen Tyre Christmas video. Something that celebrated togetherness and the times we share at home.

The Brief

Given the year, it was important to Stapleton’s to not push a product or particular promotion; Outlook was tasked to work with Harry as we had done over the 2019 period and #SpreadSomeCheer.

It's all in the details

We worked to develop a script that played on the traditional ‘The Night Before Christmas’ poem and show Harry enthusiastically dressing the house with all the Nexen Tyre gifts he feels the world and his family need! We wanted the voiceover to be whimsical and traditional; caught off guard by Harry going against the grain with his idea of season’s greetings! Blackout effects and warm tungsten spotlighting was used for the night effects with a post-production colour grade to establish the warm, rosy and golden tones we associate with the festive season.

The solution

A short promotion to share some good vibes from a brand that has established Harry as an ambassador for safety and family togetherness. Filming took place during COVID-19 when regional guidance permitted travel. For this strict production controls, social distancing, reduced crew and deep-cleaning protocols were instigated to ensure all on-site were mindful of their roles within the creative, but their responsibility for their safety and the safety of each other on-site.


Great traction, a happy client, and a great reminder that, with the right production crew and controlled, considered measures in place for location shoots, responsible film production can continue in uncertain times.
