AtriCure is a leading provider of innovative technologies for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and related conditions. Electrophysiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons from around the world count on their best-in-class solutions to treat even the most complex cases.
With an event just a fortnight away, the team at AtriCure needed support editing 10 product videos. These amends included edits to the content itself and resizing each of the animations for the unusual ratios of the LED screens on AtriCure’s stand.
However, the source files for the original animations were proving difficult to find. Aware of the tight deadline, our Senior Motion Graphics Designer would need to think outside the box to transform the flat MP4 files supplied into updated, attention-grabbing animations optimised for the event’s LED screens.
Hitting the deadline would call upon a masterclass in project management. To ensure no second was wasted, our Senior Account Manager collaborated closely with our Senior Motion Graphics Designer and the team at AtriCure to work out an effective plan of action.
Because of the short lead time, recreating the videos from scratch was unfortunately out of the question. The most cost-effective and timeline-friendly way of delivering a quality solution would be for our Senior Motion Graphics Designer to work magic with the MP4 files, tackling the most “straightforward” animations to guarantee quality content ready to show on the stand.
Our Senior Motion Graphics Designer more than rose to the challenge, experimenting with masking out the old text, scaling, and rotating to take the animations from landscape into portrait successfully.
The least complex MP4 was the first to be worked on – once everyone was happy with the result, this method was applied to the remaining nine files, with our Senior Motion Graphics Designer ensuring that the theming remained consistent across each output.
Despite initial concerns about what was possible in the lead times we were working to, our team’s resourcefulness, initiative, and efficient approach meant that all ten animations were ready in time for the event.
